Plan to spend up to an hour at your first visit. Dr. Subtelny reviews your history, examines your face, jaws, joints, and airway, and makes a facial analysis from photographs and imaging. Many patients have a cone-beam CT scan at the visit. You will leave with a clear explanation of the diagnosis, the options, and a sense of timing and next steps.

Insurance and Coverage

Jaw, TMJ, nerve, and sleep apnea surgery are medical procedures that are often covered by medical insurance. Our team verifies your benefits, prepares the clinical documentation, and requests prior authorization before surgery is scheduled, so you know your expected costs in advance.

Aesthetic procedures, including custom facial implants and neck contouring, are not covered by insurance. You receive a written quote after your consultation.
